Initiation of the workshop “Regional Cross-Border Early Warning Systems for GeoRisks in Central Asia“ on 5 November 2012

On 5 November, the workshop "Regional Cross-Border Early Warning Systems for GeoRisks in Central Asia" with lectures by Dr. Stefano Parolai (GFZ) and Prof. Dr. Manfred Strecker (Progress) was initiated. The 20 participants from Afghanistan (2), Kazakhstan (3), Kyrgyzstan (5), Uzbekistan (4), Tajikistan (4) and Turkmenistan (2) will be trained in the course of the seminar in the fields of seismic hazard and geohazards/adaptation to climate change.
